Deliverable Requirements

Dear Junior Fellows:

As we are entering the Phase 2 of Work Group period, each group may start discussing about the deliverable. The purpose of this email is to give you some guidance of the discussion and preparation, while encourage the creativity from all of you.

Here are several requirements/guidelines/tips:

  1. During the Symposium in China, a session will be held for each Work Group sub-group to present their researches. This means whatever your Deliverables look like, it must be presentable and interesting. We definitely discourage a lengthy report with no multi-media assistance.
  2. Therefore, the format of the Deliverbale will be flexible: Powerpoint slides, video clips, role plays...are all fine, as long as it is presentable. At the end of Work Group period, submit all the necessary materials for EVA.
  3. Whatever your Deliverable format is, the content within is the "King". We request that your Deliverable include all of the items below:
    • Issue definition: What is exactly this issue/problem in China? Provide data/example/personal experiences to illustrate.
    • Global implication: How does this issue influence the global community? Use the observation from other MF country.
    • Solution/implementation: What do you suggest on this issue? If it is a problem, does experience in other countries lend solution? If it is an advantage of China, how does this help the world?
    • Further learning plan: If you are given a chance to come to China, how do you like to further investigate this issue? (This is optional, and we may consider your ideas when planning the Symposium.)

We hope this email will be helpful for your Work Group discussion and you all have a fruitful Work Group period.

If you have any doubts regarding the Work Group Deliverable, please feel free to contact Qifei Zhu, or write to the BR/VBR: Wenrong and Claudia. We will be more than happy to help.
